I'm Andy Carr. I've spent decades building technology for businesses, and the last few years building with AI. Along the way I'm convinced of one thing: none of us should be figuring this out alone. That's why I started nextfriday.
Why this is a community, not a consultancy
I’ve spent years working with businesses of all shapes and sizes, but the thing that has always stayed with me is how often a fix in one place can quietly solve a problem somewhere else. The industries change. The people change. The underlying problems are often suprisingly similar.
Someone finds a better way to do something. Another person adapts it. Someone else improves it again. Before long, one shared solution is saving time, money and frustration for people who may never have met.
That's what excites me. Its the kind of community I want to build around AI.
Most businesses are facing similar questions, even when their industries look completely different. By bringing people together, sharing what works and making useful solutions accessible, we can all move forward faster, without everyone having to start from scratch. The best ideas shouldn't stay inside one business, they should become the starting point for the next.
My role isn't to arrive with all the answers. It is to listen, connect the right people and ideas, and help turn shared knowledge into practical action.
This community isn't about me. It's about you, your business, your team, and the others walking the same road. My job is simply to make that journey a little clearer, and help you take the next step.
