Walk & Talk: terms & safety (draft)

  1. 1.These are the terms for joining a NextFriday “Walk & Talk”. They’re written plainly and are a working draft. We’ll confirm the final version before launch.

  2. 2.Walks are casual, social and low-intensity, but the outdoors carries ordinary risks. You take part at your own risk and stay responsible for your own wellbeing.

  3. 3.By joining you confirm you’re fit and well enough for a short, mostly-flat walk, and you’ll tell us of anything we should know on the day.

    1. 3.1Under-18s are welcome with a responsible adult who stays with them.
    2. 3.2Friendly dogs on a lead are welcome by prior arrangement.
  4. 4.On the day, please:

    1. 4.1Wear sensible footwear and clothing for the weather.
    2. 4.2Bring water and any medication you may need.
    3. 4.3Follow reasonable guidance from the walk lead.
    4. 4.4Go at your own pace. You can turn back or leave whenever you like.
  5. 5.We make a weather call and post it in the WhatsApp group. If conditions are poor we may move to the rally point, shorten the route, or postpone.

  6. 6.We sometimes photograph or film walks for our website and social channels. You can opt out when you sign up, or on the day. Just tell us and we’ll keep you out of shots.

  7. 7.We use your details only to run the walks and the group. See our privacy notice; you can ask us to remove them at any time.

  8. 8.A Walk & Talk is a friendly conversation, not professional, financial or medical advice.
